If you google Parrish Watson, we might be mistaken for a contemporary gospel artist of the same name. Make no mistake, we love Jesus, but our little blog is all about inspiring interiors, beautiful objects and things that make us smile. We love DIY projects, monograms, pretty fabrics, and finding a great deal in an unexpected place. We love design.
A little bit about us….we met in 1997 as Interior Design students at Auburn University. We became fast friends while pulling all-nighters in the design workrooms of Spidle Hall and bonded over our love of classic interiors.
After college, our lives took us to Nashville, Birmingham, New Orleans and Washington, DC. Catherine worked as an interior designer focusing on Healthcare, Educational and Commercial design with Earl Swensson Associates in Nashville and Business Interiors and Office Environments in Birmingham. Jessica managed residential projects at Holden & Dupuy in New Orleans and Thomas Pheasant, Inc. in Washington, DC before taking a job as a personal assistant.
Catherine favors French antiques and calming palettes, while Jessica loves a pop of color and mixing old with new. Together, we bring a fresh perspective to designing livable interiors that stand the test of time.
Now both living in Birmingham, we formed Parrish Watson to share our unique aesthetic through interior design, custom pillows, furniture and decorative objects. Parrish Watson is named for our first born children, Anne Parrish and John Watson.
